The LA Selects 97s have won their last 10 games in a row starting 2 weeks ago when the captured the Bantam AAA State Championship winning 5 straight defeating the LA Jr. Kings 6-1 in the final.

For LA coach Rick Kelly, it was his 18th. State title. This past weekend in EL Segundo playing up in the 16 AA division they also went undefeated 5 and 0 to win the U16 Presidents day tourney crushing the Riptide 13-1 in the Championship game.

Every player on LA's roster scored at least one goal in the tourney, and Sarthou, and Kozlowski shared duties with Kozlowski playing the final and posting a shutout till late in the game when an LA turnover ended up an odd man rush which resulted in a Riptide goal.

The Selects 97s have Regionals in Simi Valley in a few weeks and if they can keep playing the way they have could earn a birth to Buffalo for the USA Hockey National Championships.

LA Selects were crowned "WORLD CHAMPS" after defeating North Shore 4-2.

The LA Selects PW AAA 99 team went 5-0 in Lake Tahoe Feb 3-4-and 5 to win the California State Championship.

Two solid wins against the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Jr Kings in round robin play set up a championship final against the Jr Kings. LA Selects battled to a 4-2 victory to win the title!

LA Selects Head Coach Shawn Pitcher "It took a great team effort from the start of the tournament to the finish. I am very proud of the boys for what they were able to accomplish.
